The Good 'Ol Days
1996 was the perfect year pop culture-wise. Style was right, music was right, hair was right, movies were . . . well, hokey, but fun (: Everything was good. Why did I have to be 13 ): Such a weird age--can't enjoy the perfect world in which you live.
Sadly, '96 was more of the end of an era. The end of the late 80's/early 90's era. Wow--what an era. Of course no one can argue that we children of the 80's had it all--Care Bears, Transformers, Popples--man, they were tubular, rad, and narly. Smerfs, Gummy Bears, Rainbow Bright--all of those great action heroes of Saturday morning cartoons. *sigh* We were happenin'. Ok, I gotta quit. More on the 80's when I feel so inspired. For now, hats off to the early 90's! I miss ya.
Finally Woken
Long lay the world in sin and error pining 'Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorous morn.
