Cold Pills and Such . . .

I was missing my cold pills just now. Couldn’t find them anywhere. I needed them a lot! Then I got to wondering if I would be missing them if I didn’t need them. If I didn’t need them I would be lacking them, but would someone say I was missing them? Would someone say, “oh no! you’re missing your cold!” No, because we don’t miss things we don’t need. To be more specific, when we miss something, we are missing something we had and find we need again at that particular moment because if you never had something you wouldn’t miss it. A fish doesn’t miss his wings. But a fish would miss its fins.

So when we say “I miss you,” we really mean “I need you.” That’s freaky.

Some people create inner-turmoil within my soul. Do they like me or don't they? They're kind to me, oh no they're not, wait, yes they are . . . what? ow! that hurt . . . did they mean it that way? no . . . yes . . . no . . . what was that gesture? Was that look one of hatred and disgust or amused playfulness? ACK! Did you just yell at me? Was that an order? Are you mad now? Why are you shoving me? Have you ever liked me? Why on earth do you still hang around? Why did you choose me anyway? Maybe you like me a lot?? Maybe you want to be my best friend!? Is that how you show it? Questions . . .

So will North Korea invade South Korea, Russia side with Iraq, and China take Taiwan? Will that be WWIII? Are we seriously going to wait for 4-6 days to take Baghdad because "there's no rush?" Is that attack the stupidest thing we do? Is anyone really prepared for its result? Did SARS really come from a lab in China? Did they really just clone a kid? How many people do plan on using biowarfare? Was the recent UFO really just a fried cat falling from a telephone wire?

So many questions.
