Things I am learning:
Guys are not nearly as picky about us as we are about ourselves (especially when it comes to looks).
Guys like to talk about girls with girls that understand guys (even if it's only a little).
Theological and political debates are exhausting.
Political discussions are fun if you are laughing at the first two sentences of "My Life," or the many contradictions of Michael Moore.
Shoes are a safe topic of conversation.
Spending 8 hours in an office with a 17 year old girl can hold more drama than TNT and CNN combined (kill me now).
All said, people fascinate me and God never ceases to amaze me.
Finally Woken
Long lay the world in sin and error pining 'Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorous morn.

Sometimes, in the New York Subways, I would find myself tuning into someone else's music floating quietly from their earphones. No matter how distasteful the music, I found it irresistable simply because there was a sort of rythm to it. In the chaos of a New York subway, one can't help but be drawn to the solace of rythm.
Daily life can take on a relaxing rythm. Regardless of the personal time, sleep, food, or physical relaxation I recieve throughout the day, a predictable day is a relaxing day for me. So I am learning that, when I get overwhelmed, I do not need to get away. Instead I need to pattern my life into a steady rythm, whether that be quick or slow.
Theme of my life: Chill
